Thinking about resigning or retiring?

Sooner or later, all employees will reach a time in their lives when they begin to consider retirement options or explore other career opportunities. For some employees, the decision to make this change is easy; for others, it can be very difficult. Regardless, there are steps to take for preparing and entering into retirement or resigning from your position. The purpose of this information is to aid you with step-by-step instructions as you begin the retirement or resignation process.

Follow the step-by-step instructions below that apply to you:

  • Licensed Staff (SCEA, SCPA, SCAA, Licensed Non-Rep Exempt)
  • Non-Licensed Staff (Bus Drivers, Clerical, Custodial, Interpreters, Non-Rep Hourly & Exempt, Nutritional Services, Paraprofessionals, other non-licensed positions)

Resignation:

If you are not eligible for TRA retirement, click on the Resignation Notice (Licensed Staff) below.

Retirement:

If you are eligible for TRA retirement (must be at least 55 years of age), click on the Retirement Notice (Licensed Staff) below. To determine if you are eligible for retirement, contact TRA. Contact information is listed below.
